The Only Resource You Spend Without Knowing the Balance

We live in a world that glorifies the grind.
The hustle. The constant go, go, go.
We push through our days — checking boxes, meeting deadlines, chasing goals — all the while forgetting the one resource we use without knowing the balance: Time.
Think back for a moment…
Do you remember when summer days seemed endless?
When school breaks felt like entire lifetimes?
When you’d run barefoot through grass that somehow felt softer… greener… more alive?
We were in a rush to grow up.
To be older. To be independent. To be adults.
And now, here we are.
Busy.
Productive.
Always moving.
But somewhere in the midst of the hustle… time is slipping quietly by.
Children grow up in the blink of an eye.
Parents grow older before we notice.
Grandparents — our living history — become memories faster than we’d like.
We get so caught up in the chase that we forget to simply be.
To stop and smell the flowers.
To laugh without checking the clock.
To sit and listen — really listen — to the voices that mean the most.
If you’re reading this… consider it a reminder.
A nudge to pause.
To take stock of the moments happening right now before they become the stories you wish you’d lived more fully.
The grind will always be there.
But those faces around your dinner table? Those hands you hold?
They are here now.
Take the time.
Breathe it in.
Don’t rush the process.
Because the real wealth isn’t measured in dollars…
It’s measured in moments.
What’s one moment with a loved one that you wish you could experience again?
Let’s remember — and let’s be intentional about creating more.
