TO THE WOMEN WHO HELD IT TOGETHER

Tonight, I want to thank every mother.

The mothers by birth.

The mothers through adoption.

The bonus moms.

The sisters who stepped into motherhood.

The “sisters from other misters” who carried others through hard seasons.

And the men who had to become both father and mother when life demanded more from them.

Thank you for the sacrifices nobody applauded.

The tears hidden behind closed doors.

The prayers whispered when nobody else knew what was breaking.

And to my own mother…

Thank you for bringing me into this world.

Thank you for carrying me before I ever knew what carrying others would cost.

At church today, the message was:

Where teenagers say, “I got you,” after their mother asks something of them… that’s really God’s message to us too.

He’s got us.

UnMute Yourself was never just about speaking louder.

It was about honoring the people who taught us resilience before we had words for it.

Some of us learned strength by watching mothers survive.

Now it’s our turn to use our voice so the next generation learns how to live.

Pressure reveals what training built.

Tonight, I honor the ones who built us.
