November holds space for something sacred.

It’s Adoption Awareness Month, a time to celebrate the families built through love, courage, and choice, and to bring attention to the thousands of children in foster care still waiting for a place to call home.

As an adoptive parent, I honor every mother and father who opened their heart to a child who needed one.

And I honor every child whose story deserves stability, belonging, and legacy.

In a month centered on gratitude, there is nothing more fitting than acknowledging the gift of family if chosen, blended, rebuilt, and/or expanded.

To every adoptive parent: I celebrate you.

To every child still waiting: We see you.

To every family touched by adoption: You are love in action.
