Gratitude looks different today.

Not because of what I have.

Because of who I’ve become.

I’m grateful that six months ago feels like a different lifetime. My mindset has changed so much that I barely recognize the woman I used to be.

I’m grateful that after years of being highly medicated following active duty, I’m living medication-free.

I’m grateful that I no longer need permission to walk in my purpose. I don’t need others to tell me who I should be, what I should say, or how I should live.

I’m grateful for a circle that celebrates me instead of competing with me. People who check to see if I’m okay, not whether I have more than they do.

Most of all, I’m grateful that I finally love the woman I see in the mirror.

Not because she’s perfect.

Because she’s authentic.

Because she’s at peace.

Because she knows exactly who she is, where she’s going, and why.

The greatest wealth you’ll ever build isn’t in your bank account.

It’s becoming someone you genuinely enjoy being.

And if you’re fortunate enough to find that version of yourself, don’t keep her to yourself.

Reach back.

Someone else is praying for the freedom you’ve already found.
