Today is both World Suicide Prevention Day and World First Aid Day. Days meant to highlight the preservation of life. Yet, we wake to news of shootings in a Colorado high school and a Utah university—lives cut short, families changed forever.

This is not about politics, rights, or blame. This is a reflection.

As a veteran, I’ve stood in formation at too many memorials for brothers and sisters lost to suicide and combat. As a friend, I’ve watched loved ones shattered by suicide and violence. Every loss of life is a tragedy.

💡 This moment is a reminder: time is our most precious resource, yet we spend it without ever knowing the balance.

And beyond time—consider this: What are you leaving behind? Who are you leaving behind? Legacy isn’t just financial. It’s principles, values, customs, norms, and ideas. It’s the example you set through your actions.

✨ Legacy is written in how we live, not just what we leave.

So pause. Reflect. Decide intentionally: What will your story say? What mark will you leave behind?
