Another leader I had the honor of meeting and want to spotlight isĀ Dr Lance McCarthy.
Dr. McCarthy is an economic advisor and respected community figure who co-founded Ferguson 1000 Jobs, an initiative created in response to civil unrest with a clear mission to drive economic development, job creation, and opportunity in the St. Louis region, including Ferguson. His work reflects what it looks like when leadership moves beyond conversation and into action that uplifts entire communities.
What stood out most was not his rĆ©sumĆ©, but his humility and kindness. He carries himself with quiet strength and genuine care. His willingness to help his brothers and sisters in any economic capacity sets the standard for what leveraging oneās platform for the greater good truly looks like. This is legacy work in real time.
I am deeply grateful to Mr.Ā Bill Walsh 360Ā andĀ Migena AgarajĀ once again for the introduction and for creating space to engage with leaders of this caliber. Thank you as well to Dr. McCarthy for sharing a moment with me and for being open to exploring future collaboration š¤.
As a St. Louis native, this connection is especially meaningful to me. It fills me with pride to reconnect with my birthplace through leaders who are actively pouring back into the community. I am excited to discover how I may contribute, support, and help strengthen the economic future of the place that shaped me šļøš¤.
This is what alignment looks like.
Ā This is what service-driven leadership feels like.
