For a while, I dreaded turning 40. I thought it meant time was slipping away, that maybe I hadn’t done enough.
But these past few weeks, everything shifted into gratitude.
I’m thankful to still be here—healthy, strong, and with all my faculties intact.
-I’m thankful to watch my kids continue to grow.
-I’m thankful to keep growing as a professional.
And I’m overjoyed to step into my new favorite role—grandmother. Just three days before my birthday, my daughter-in-law gave birth to our precious granddaughter… and today, on my 40th, I got to spend my birthday meeting her.
My heart is overflowing.
My life couldn’t be fuller. I couldn’t be more thankful.
I no longer dread 40. I welcome it—with open arms, a grateful heart, and an excitement for all that’s still ahead.
