More Titles Do Not Always Mean Better Outcomes 🤔🏗️

More is not always better

Especially in partnerships

Yes, we want partners who cover our blind spots

Who balance strengths

Who help close gaps

And yes, most people want to be the decision maker

But do we all need the same title on a deal team

Or are we more attached to how it sounds than what it requires

General Partner sounds powerful

Limited Partner sounds quieter

I heard Grant Cardone say recently that a deal really only needs one GP

One person who carries the weight of the decisions

One person who owns the outcome

Others can give input

Others can support

But accountability stays clear

If you want to be a GP

Find your own deal

Less confusion

Less conflict

More clarity

More accountability

That only works if the GP is an action taker

And holds themselves to a high standard

Titles do not protect investments

Leadership does
