This Mexican Independence Day weekend isn’t just about fireworks or food—it’s about something deeper. It’s about standing shoulder to shoulder with family, honoring the sacrifices of those before us, and cherishing the freedoms we enjoy today.

Though I’m not of Mexican heritage myself, my husband is—and together we celebrate as one. Because when you marry, when you build a family, you don’t just unite homes—you unite legacies.

This weekend calls us to lean into our families, recharge our spirits, and refocus our direction. To remember that legacy isn’t only about financial wealth, but the traditions, the culture, and the values we live and pass down.
